The program is similar to the Mae Kok River Trek but with the additional night at Rimkok hotel on the Mae Kok River plus visit is made to Mae Sai, the border town Thailand-Burma, Doi Tung and a hilltop temple which houses a bone belonging to Lord Buddha..

| Morning transfer from Chiang Mai by covered pick up truck heading north to Tha Ton on the banks of the Mae Kok. Lunch in a local restaurant then travel by long-tailed boat trip to Ruamit Karen village. Take elephants and ride (2 hours) up the mountain to picturesque Lahu village. Overnight with friendly local family. |

| Trek through Akha and Lahu villages to a waterfall and swim in a mountain stream. Lunch in a Shan village before pick up truck transfer to Chiang Rai. Overnight in Rimkok hotel on the Mae Kok River. |

| Drive Jeep to Sop Ruak and visit the point of the Golden Triangle and then to Mae Sai, the most northern city in Thailand and cross the border into the Burmese market town of Tachilek. Have lunch in Mae Sai before taking a scenic drive along the border to Doi Tung and a hilltop temple which houses a bone said to have belonged to the Buddha. Drive back to Chiang Rai in time to catch the plane back to Chiang Mai or Bangkok (not included). |
