Doi Inthanon Eco Tour

Journey by train to Chiang Mai with visits to Doi Inthanon Park, nature trail
walk at Ang Ka, hiking at Kiew Mae Pan, enjoy herb sauna and watch cloth
weaving in Mae Chaem District , continue to Ob Luang to visit the hot springs
and raft along Mae Chaem River.

| Leave for Chiang Mai by the night train
sleeping berth. |

| 07:25 - Arrive Chiang Mai, transfer for
breakfast at the restaurant/hotel.
09:00 - Proceed to Doi Inthanon National
Park with a short stop to visit Wat Phra
Dhat Chom Thong, the beautiful temple in
Chom Thong District. 10:30 - Arrive the
highest point (2,565 m. above the sea
level) of the mountain. Start with interpretive
walk at Ang Ka Nature Trail. This trail leads
you to study 'the water shed' of Ping River
by means of a raised boardwalk. Here you
will see many 'Sphagnum Moss ' and
'Rododendron'. It is excellent birdwatching
site for many native birds, expecially
'Green-tailed Sunbird','Chestnut-tailed
Minla' and also migrated birds such as
Woodstock, grey & yellow wagtail, scarlet
finch etc. 11:30 - Continue the trip down to
the level of 2,000 m. and enter Kiew Mae
Pan Hiking Trail in the Moist Hill Evergreen
Forest. You will see tall trees cloaked in
moss, fern, orchid and other epiphytes.
This forest is a home of many species of
wildlife including sambar deer, barking
deer, wild pig, squirrel and the
'Rhododendron Tree' cling to steep
mountainsides. Picnic lunch at the
viewpoint. 15:00 - Freshen up from the
forest and continue the trip to visit the King
& Queen stupas before going to the
camping site for overnight (in the tent).

| 06:00 - Birdwatching around the camping
site. 07:00 - Local Breakfast. 08:00 -
Gather everything and take a bus down the
mountain to Mae Cham District (about 1
hour and a half). Visit small villages in the
beautiful valley which are rich in local
culture - Wat Yang Luang, the power of
unity of native villagers, hand woven
clothes in meaningful style; and have the
'herb sauna', the wisdom of local people
for good health. 12:00 - Homemade lunch
cooked by the housewife group. 13:00 -
After touching the real life of local people,
continue the trip to Ob Luang with a short
stop to visit Them Panom Hotsprings on
the way. 14:30 - Arrive Ob Luang, check in
at Khao Krairas Resort before guiding you
to visit the historic site of Prehistoric
community. 18:30 - Dinner at resort. (B, L,

| 08:00 - Breakfast at resort. 09:00 - Prepare
to have funny game, rubber-rafting along
Mae Chaem River for about 2 hrs. 12:00 -
Lunch at resort. 13:00 Return to Chiang
Mai by bus. 15:00 - Arrive in Chiang Mai,
shopping for about 1 hour. 16:00 - Transfer
to the railway station 16:40 - Take the night
train with sleeping berth back to Bangkok.
