| Day 1 : BANGKOK - KANCHANABURI |
06:30 hrs : Pick up from major hotels in Bangkok.
07:30 hrs : Depart Bangkok for Kanchanaburi .
10:00 hrs : Arrive Kanchanaburi, visit to JEATH Museum (World War II Museum) , an open air museum constructed in the form of actual prisoners of war (POW) camp. |
| Day 2 : KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK |
visit War Cemetary , the cemetary of the remains over 6,000 prisoners of war who lost their lives during the construction of the "Death Railway" . Continue to visit the world"s famous Bridge on the River Kwai. As depicted in the movie and a part of the "Death Railway" . The historical black iron was the target of allied bombing during 1945.
12:00 hrs : Take a train ride along part of the "Death Railway" to Nam-Tok Station, the last existing train station of the Thailand-Burma railway in Thailand , passing the dangerous looking wooden viaduct built along the mountain.
13:00 hrs : Arrive Nam-Tok station . Transfer to River Kwai Village hotel.
13:30 hrs : Check in at hotel . Thai lunch at Jungle View Restaurant.
15:00 hrs : Take a short long-tailed speedboat trip upstream the River Kwai Noi. Climb up to Kaeng Lawa Cave for an interesting visit of the fantastic stone formations.
16:30 hrs : Transfer back to hotel by boat.
19:00 hrs : European dinner at hotel . Accommodation at River Kwai Village, Raft room (L,D) |
